The Lasec self-contained Mobile Science Lab combines three winning ingredients. Our mobile teacher’s unit, Physical Science kit FET and Learner Chemistry Kits.
Grade 10 Precipitation reaction with Gareth Cliff
Gareth Cliff is known for his oratory skills and opinions on air but did you know he has a passion for Science? Our FET Physical Science kit will now feature Gareth as one of the contributors equipping teachers with Lasec's great Education apparatus.
How to Investigate the Relationship between Pressure and Volume using Boyle's Law
Grade 11 Ideal Gas Laws B: In Ideal Gas Laws investigations are made into the relationship between pressure and volume at constant pressure, learn how to use the Boyle’s Law apparatus to investigate this relationship.
How to set up the Boyle's Law Apparatus
John demonstrates how to refill and set up the Boyle's Law apparatus.
How the light kit works
In Ideal Gas Laws investigations are made into the relationship between pressure and volume at a constant pressure, learn how to use the Boyle’s Law apparatus to investigate this relationship.
Dinosaur Printable for Cams Technology Project
Use this printable to create a fun moving scene for the cams technology project! Once the activity is complete, turn the handle to watch the dinosaurs battle it out for the top spot.
Investigate Constant Velocity and Acceleration with the Dynamics Track
Join and WATCH John for a lesson in constant velocity and acceleration using the Dynamics Track.
Teach Cams with this Fun Technology Project
It's easy to turn a standard technology lesson into something a little special. By adding a humorous element, you'll gain more enthusiasm around the activity from the get-go. Learners are also more likely to engage with the theory component because they can see how it translates practically. John achieves this by creating a movable scene with dinosaurs fighting it out for top spot - with sound effects to add to the fun.
Supernova – The Magazine for Curious Kids
In a digitally overwhelmed world, it’s comforting to know that a magazine like Supernova still exists to bring children exciting educational facts and project ideas in a format curated just for them.
Have You Ever Played Torso Tetris? Watch John Try!
Watch John try, try and try again to put the organs back inside a model torso! Although a seasoned Life Science teacher will likely find it a breeze, figuring out what goes where can be tricky business. Why not set a challenge for groups of learners, timing them as they work - to add a fun challenge element. As learners place the organs inside the torso they must name each one. If they get the organ name wrong they must take all the pieces out and start again.
