Science Teacher is Given a Reason to Smile as His Dream is Made Possible!

The impossible dream of a dedicated, enthusiastic, and passionate Science Teacher, Mr. Sizwe Kubheka, has been made possible by an IT Solution Company, The Gemini Solution, that lives by its MOTTO: "PASSIONATE ABOUT IT, FUELED BY FUN."

On Thursday, the 24^th of June, Lasec^® Education had a beautiful opportunity to hand over Science Kits to Thokoza High School. The following dignitaries were present at this momentous occasion:

Mr. MO Sibisi (SEM) who delivered a keynote address
Mr. LF Mbongwe (CSEM)
Mr. V Ndlovu spoke on behalf of SADTU
Mr. L.K Zikalala (SGB Chairman)
Ward Manager, Teachers, and community members.

The excitement was as bright as the smiles on the faces of everyone present, especially the learners and Mr. Kubheka.

Once the handover formalities were concluded, our very own Education Specialist, Lucas Nutli, had the opportunity to conduct an intensive 2-day training workshop for Physical Science Teachers. In this training, Lucas assisted with familiarizing the teachers on the use of the equipment, apparatus, proper handling of chemicals, and laboratory safety practices.

In his own words, Mr. Sizwe said: "Our Science lessons will never be the same again. Improved and quality results will be part of our signature for many years to come. As teachers of Thokoza High School, we are grateful to Maxi of The Gemini Solutions and Lasec^® Education for extending a helping hand and providing us with such a memorable and sustainable solution to our problem."

The school hopes that they will soon get funding or a sponsor to install laboratory furniture in order to enhance and expand their ability to provide hands-on Science class activities and practical experiments. The hand-over/launch was a huge success and a milestone for Thokoza high school, but also a sign of bigger and better things to come.
