Nilgiri Secondary School receives a fully-fledged Science Laboratory Sponsored by Smiths Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd.

Lasec® Education, in partnership with the New Africa Education Foundation, recently handed over and launched a new Life & Physical Science and Technology lab at the Nilgiri Secondary School based in the Marionhill area, KwaZulu-Natal. This Science laboratory was sponsored by Smiths Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd. as part of their corporate social investment initiative. The investment by Smiths Manufacturing will allow learners to get hands-on-experience doing practicals in the lab for the very first time in the history of the school. The wish is that this will equip them to pursue these subjects at tertiary level. The principal of the school, Mr. Molefe, was very happy and said without a doubt the results of the school will increase because this initiative would not only boost the confidence of the educators but of the learners as well. Lasec® Education looks forward to seeing this community grow.
