Lasec Education Open Day 13 May 2017

A while back Lasec hosted an Open Day to showcase its Education division at our Joburg premises. We played our Corporate Video and did a small presentation informing teachers who we are, showcasing the training that we do, and highlighting our turnkey solution for education. We introduced our new E-commerce website - in particular the Resources tab, where one can find safety data sheets and a few fun videos of our presenter John, demonstrating how to use the slinky spring. The name change of Edutrade to Lasec was explained, followed by how the website is still to undergo this change. Doug demonstrated our teacher's unit and the versatility of it and he had fun showing the sparks given off by the Van de Graaff generator. Teachers had the opportunity to share new ideas and give Lasec feedback. While in the Educational demo room they were given a chance to play with the equipment that Lasec manufactures and supplies. They were also taken on a short tour to view the Lasec demo room as well as the Lasec-made lab furniture. Jacaranda College won the prize of a periodic table.
