WHAT IS COVID-19?

This virus is the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Related Coronavirus 2, which causes the disease called Covid-19.

The main way it is spread is via droplets originating from the mouth when one coughs or if you touch someone who is ill.

That’s why you must cough in a tissue, cover your mouth and keep your distance.

It then enters the body of a person who gets infected via the nose, mouth and eyes.

That’s why you must avoid touching your face.

The virus is encased by fat which is broken down by soap. Breaking down the capsule prevents it from infecting you. Slippery soap and the motion of washing also physically removes the virus from your hands.

That’s why you MUST wash your hands with soap for at least 20 Seconds

The virus can enter your body and if moved down into your stomach will be killed by stomach acid.

That’s why you must drink lots of water.

The virus affects the epithelial cells lining the lungs and organs.
